TAMPA, Fla.- Cedar Stars Rush midfielder Zemedkun Rodriguez has been named the 2021 League Two Young Player of the Year. The award is granted to the league's best player under 20-years-old and is decided upon via a voting process among the League Two clubs.

Throughout the season, Rodriguez recorded 991 minutes of play in 12 matches and managed to slot home seven goals earning him the title of top goal-scorer for Cedar Stars Rush while also contributing one assist for his team.
Before joining the USL League Two squad for the 2021 season, Rodriguez played for the Cedar Stars Academy and at the high school level for the prestigious St. Benedict’s Prep where he won back-to-back National Championships. As announced in July, Rodriguez has committed to carry out his collegiate career with American University and will begin his freshman year this fall.
