Dane Jacomen Named Recipient of the 2021 League Two Golden Glove Award

The West Chester United SC goalkeeper allowed just five goals all season

TAMPA, Fla.- Dane Jacomen of West Chester United SC has been named the 2021 USL League Two Golden Glove award winner. The Golden Glove is calculated using multiple statistics and given to the best goalkeeper in the league over the course of the season, with a minimum of 10 games played needed for consideration.

Jacomen had an impressive run between the sticks in the 2021 League Two season only conceding five goals in 13 games played. The West Chester keeper played a total of 1,095 minutes during the season and tallied 38 saves. In addition, the stealthy keeper maintained a .41 goals against average and was nominated for Fan’ Choice Save of the Week in Week 3 of the Path2Pro regular season. 

A Pittsburgh native, Jacomen has been a key contributor to his collegiate men’s team at the University of Pennsylvania. In his 2019 season with the Quakers, Jacomen recorded 14 appearances in goal posting six shutouts and finishing with a 0.80 goals against average, earning him a second place finish among Ivy League keepers.
