26 Teams to Compete to for a Spot in the 2021 League Two Final

TAMPA, Fla.- USL League Two announced today the host locations for the 2021 League Two Conference Quarterfinals and Conference Semifinals kicking off on July 16. Lionsbridge FC and SC United Bantams will serve as the hosts of the Southern Conference, Des Moines Menace and Mississippi Brilla FC will serve as the hosts of the Central Conference while the Western Mass Pioneers and Northern Virginia FC (pending playoff qualification) will host the Eastern Conference.

Since its inaugural season in 2018, Lionsbridge FC has been teetering on the edge of playoffs every year. This year, in front of numerous fans, Lionsbridge FC will have its first chance ever to host three teams from the Southern Conference in Newport News, Virginia at TowneBank Stadium, which has a seating capacity of 4,200 and features a natural grass surface and high-definition video board for fan viewing. The remaining four teams of the Southern Conference will face off at the newly named and renovated Southeastern Freight Lines Soccer Center in Columbia, South Carolina, the home of the SC United Bantams. As it stands, the SC United Bantams look to be the favorite to claim the Deep South Division thus placing them into a higher seed heading into the Conference Quarterfinals.

In the Central Conference, teams will kick off play in both Des Moines, Iowa and Jackson, Mississippi, the respective homes of the Des Moines Menace and Mississippi Brilla FC. Des Moines is no stranger to performing well during the League Two regular season, however their post season runs in years past have fallen a bit short. Now, as a playoff host for the second season in a row for the USL League Two Playoffs, the team looks to turn their luck around and pursue a full run for a title-winning season. After missing out on a playoff berth in 2019, Mississippi Brilla FC is looking for a bit of redemption as they partially host the first two rounds of the Central Conference Playoffs for the 2021 season. The team has performed well in the 2021 regular season, but with new competition heading their way the big question is, will they rise to the occasion?

As it stands, the Western Mass Pioneers look as if they will take the Northeast Division and welcome Eastern Conference members to the historic Lusitano Stadium in Ludlow, Massachusetts. The stadium, which was built in 1918, is the oldest soccer specific stadium in all of New England and has a seating capacity of 3,000. The electric atmosphere of Lusitano will be the perfect scene for the Pioneers to make its run for the USL League Two Finals since its 2019 loss to Reading United AC in the Conference Finals. The remainder of the Eastern Conference playoff teams will gather at the home field of Northern Virginia FC at Evergreen Sportsplex in Leesburg, Virginia, which has a seating capacity of 1,500. Northern Virginia FC currently sits at third in the Mid Atlantic Division table and could potentially earn a playoff berth through a second place finish in the table or a wild card pick, which is awarded to the best third place team amongst the Mid Atlantic and Northeast Division.

The eight winners of the Southern, Central and Eastern Conference Semifinals and the two division winners from the Western Conference will go on to compete in the Conference Finals and potentially the National Semifinals on July 23-25. More information regarding host locations for the Conference Finals and National Semifinals will be released following the conclusion of the USL League Two Conference Semifinals.
