Asheville City Soccer Club will host South Georgia Tormenta this Friday, July 2 at Greenwood Field. The game will kick off at 7:30 p.m.

The visitors are ranked second in the division with a 7-1-3 record. Tormenta travels to Asheville after a win against Independence Central.

Gabriel Rodriguez and Alexis Ledoux lead Tormenta with five goals each this season. Rodriguez played at University of Charleston and led the team to win the NCAA Division II National Championship in 2019. Ledoux is also a student at University of Charleston and goes into his second year in 2021.

Asheville City returns after a tough loss against the SC United Bantams. The (3-2-5) Blues are still undefeated at home and hope to continue that streak on Friday. As the playoff situation continues to unfold, the Blues essentially need to win out to secure their spot in a close divisional table.

Stadium gates for the sold out affair open at 6:30 p.m. A livestream will be available via Youtube for those who cannot support the Blues in person. Tickets are still available here.

Masks are no longer required for vaccinated individuals. Full facility guidelines can be found at http://ashevillecitysc.com/gameday.
