Colorado Rush had another solid training session today. We got the chance to speak to a few players after training to get their thoughts on it. Logan Hitzman said that individually practice went really well for him. He went on to talk about how he is starting to get sharper on the ball and his fitness is continuing to improve. He is also excited about the chemistry the team is building.

Practice began with a quick game of rondo and goalkeeper warm-up. We saw a few players get megged during rondo, which is always fun to watch. Coach Elliot then transitioned the team into an 8 station drill challenging the players technically and physically. During this drill the team was focused but were able to get some laughs in. Especially when Elliot was demonstrating and missed every goal. Also, the goalies showed some players up proving that they aren’t only good with their hands but their feet as well. Training finished with a small sided game focusing on off the ball movement.

The USL2 team will continue to work hard on improving their skills in the upcoming training sessions. Logan would like Coach Elliot to challenge them to play quicker off the ball. That wraps up today’s training session!
