The team will begin play in 2020 in the Mountain Division

TAMPA, Fla. – The United Soccer League (USL) announced today that Colorado Rush will join USL League Two for the 2020 season. The club will compete in the Mountain Division.

“We are extremely excited to be joining League Two,” said Colorado Rush Director of Coaching Joe Webb. “This league has been the proven leader for aspiring pros for so many years, and now it will play an essential part in providing that pathway for our players within the Rush organization.”

Based in Littleton, Colorado, the Rush organization serves more than 5,000 youth soccer players. Since 1998, Colorado Rush competitive teams have won 12 United States Youth Soccer National Championships, one US Club Soccer National Championship, and the Elite Clubs National League Championship in 2012.

“The Rush are a prominent organization nationwide, and we’re excited to work with them in Colorado to expand the path to professional soccer for their players,” said Joel Nash, Vice President of USL League Two. “The addition of a League Two team at the top of their development system will represent a major stepping stone for the club’s young players to strive toward.”

In joining League Two, Colorado Rush’s coaches and ownership will offer a proven path to professional soccer for its players, both those at the elite collegiate level and the top academy-age players from the region. In addition to the valuable experience of playing in the nation’s most competitive pre-professional environment, League Two also provides growth opportunities for its coaches, executives and communities.
