Catch up on the top performances from "Path2Pro" products in the NCAA Division I Men's Tournament

We've reached the quarterfinal stage of the 2019 NCAA Division I Men's Soccer Tournament, and plenty of League Two alums have led their teams to Elite 8 appearances on the back of some impressive performances. See who stood out in the Sweet 16.

Holcomb, Lapa lead Wake Forest over Michigan

A trio of League Two products led the Demon Deacons to a 3-1 win over Michigan on Sunday. Orange County SC U23’s Kyle Holcomb bagged a brace, with his two goals coming either side of a Bruno Lapa penalty. Lapa, who played for NC Fusion U23 last season, has been one of the NCAA Tournament’s top players. Flint City Bucks’ goalkeeper Andrew Pannenberg was solid between the sticks for Wake Forest, making five saves while playing against a number of his former Bucks teammates.

Montes dominates to help Hoyas advance

Treasure Coast Tritons product Jacob Montes was truly unstoppable in Georgetown’s 5-1 victory over Louisville, pouring in two goals and two assists as the Hoyas continued a dominant run through the NCAA Tournament thus far. He scored the opener just over 90 seconds into the match, pressing a Louisville defender and winning the ball before placing a lovely curled finish beyond the reach of the goalkeeper.

Baynham scores lone goal in historic UCSB Upset

Will Baynham scored perhaps the biggest goal in UCSB’s recent history on Sunday, capitalizing on a slip by an Indiana defender and firing a right-footed rocket from the edge of the penalty area. The Reading United alum’s strike was the only goal of the game, as the Gauchos continued their Cinderella run and became the only unseeded team to reach the tournament quarterfinals.

Waldeck fires Stanford past Virginia Tech

Former Southern California Seahorses midfielder Derek Waldeck extended his college career with a massive performance for Stanford. The senior opened the scoring in the 54th minute, and provided the assist for the game-winner in the 80th minute as the Cardinal knocked off Virginia Tech.
