These precocious forwards are making their names as goal-scorers

The 2019 League Two 20 Under 20 List highlights the most exciting young prospects in the league. Five players from each of the four positions were selected to the list and one position has been announced per week for the past four weeks, beginning on October 2 with goalkeepersdefenders on October 9, midfielders on October 17, and finishing with forwards on October 23. Players born on or after January 1, 1999 are eligible for the list.

These five young forwards have promising futures in front of them, having already shown plenty of finishing ability and intelligence up front in leading the line for their squads.

1

Ousseni Bouda

Black Rock FC | Age: 19

One of the most hyped prospects in the country, Bouda is off to a fantastic start in his college career with powerhouse Stanford. A rare blend of intelligence, speed and technical ability, Bouda posted a ridiculous stat line for Black Rock in League Two play, scoring 8 goals in 348 minutes on the pitch, an average of just over two goals per 90 minutes.

2

Ronald Arevalo

Cedar Stars Rush | Age: 16

At about 16 years and two months old, Arevalo was the youngest player to score in League Two this season, netting a late equalizer in Cedar Stars Rush’s season finale. Arevalo has been noticed by U.S. youth national team scouts and participated in camps at the youth national team level. As the youngest player on the 20 Under 20 list, he’s definitely one to keep an eye on in the future.

3

Simon Becher

Reading United AC | Age: 20

Becher had an excellent season up front for the Eastern Conference champions. A clinical finisher, he scored seven goals in only 412 minutes of action for an incredible rate of roughly 1.5 goals per 90 minutes.

4

Goteh Ntignee

Victoria Highlanders | Age: 17

Ntignee turned 17 just before the start of the League Two season, but that didn’t stop him from showing his incredible talent against players multiple years older than himself. He scored four times in eight appearances for the Highlanders on the year and is sure to only get better with time.

5

Esad Mackic

Westchester Flames | Age: 19

Mackic was a key cog in the Flames’ attack, bagging five goals and appearing in nearly every game for the club. The sophomore striker at Iona was involved with the New York City FC youth system and shows plenty of promise as he continues his college career.
