See which collegiate League Two alums are in top form

In our College Rewind piece, we recap standout performances from League Two alumni in college soccer. As the NCAA season rolls on, here’s who’s been catching our eye.

BUSTAMANTE ANCHORS RED STORM DEFENSE

Rafael Bustamante was a key cog in Manhattan SC’s defense in League Two this summer, and he’s continued a strong run of form into his collegiate season. St. John’s is having an excellent season so far with Bustamante anchoring a stingy defensive unit that has allowed just five goals in ten games. The Red Storm boast a 10-1-0 record, recently earning a 4-0 away win at Marquette, with Bustamante scoring the opener. Last night, Bustamante's terrific run and pass led to the only goal of the game in St. John's 1-0 victory against Temple.

ILOSKI NETS FIVE FOR UCLA

Iloski’s 14 goals on the season are the most in the entire season, and the junior UCLA  forward is showing no signs of slowing down. The former Ogden City SC star had an unbelievable week, scoring once in a 3-1 win over UC Riverside and netting all five goals in the Bruins’ win over San Diego State, setting a school record for most goals in a single game. Iloski was named Top Drawer Soccer’s Player of the Week for his incredible scoring efforts.

BECHER, ST. LOUIS STREAKING

Former Reading United striker Simon Becher and the Billikens are on a hot streak, winning three straight over the last week. Becher scored in St. Louis’ win over Marquette, and had a goal and an assist in another victory over Massachusetts.

BODILY HELPS HUSKIES TO NO. 2 RANKING

Washington is rolling at the moment, earning quality wins over Stanford and California this week on a successful trip to the Bay Area. Former Portland Timbers U23 man Blake Bodily played a key role in both games. The junior midfielder set up the overtime winner against Stanford before scoring the only goal in the Huskies’ 1-0 win over California.
