Talking about the final and Battling Back to Reach It.

Prior to the League Two Final this Saturday in Flint, Michigan, we spoke with the coaches and captains of Reading United to hear more about what it took to get them there and what it means to be there.

ALAN MCCANN, READING UNITED AC HEAD COACH:

On Battling Back “We feel great. Its what we preach from day one, no matter the external factors going on in the game we expect a certain level of commitment from our lads and a certain style of play and they stuck to that. The changes helped us in formation and we looked more dangerous with the boys that went on the field as well. They caught us early on the hop but the reaction was fantastic.”

On Getting to the Final “It shows that the system we put in place and producing pros last year and we expect to produce pros this year which is what it's all about. Being able to put our boys in a high-pressure situation like a final will show scouts and show coaches exactly what they are made of.”

LAMINE CONTE, READING UNITED AC CAPTAIN:

On the match “It feels good, every time we can go to a championship final it's great. We have been here before so we know what it is about and use our experience as an advantage and just go out there and try to win. The guys coming off the bench really really helped us, we know we have a lot of talent on the team, coming off the bench they executed the plan and help us get the win.”
