League Two players sign professional contracts with Red Wolves

This morning the Chattanooga Red Wolves announce the signing of two players from their League Two affiliate sides, Dalton and Park City.

From Dalton, Abdoulaye “YaYa” Cisse moves up to League Two to make his professional debut in League One. In College Cisse spent two seasons at Eastern Florida State College and scored nine goals and registered nine assists in 35 games for EFSC. In 2017 he transferred to Fort Hays State University where he made All-Conference First Team and All-MIAA First Team honors two times each.

“From the moment he arrived, YaYa has proven that he is eager to play and contribute to the success of our first team,” said Chattanooga Red Wolves SC President and General Manager, Sean McDaniel.

“It’s always been a dream of mine to become a professional athlete, and my family and I are grateful to the Red Wolves organization and staff for giving me the opportunity to make that dream come true,” said YaYa. “I can’t wait to get started.”

They have also announced the signed of Alexi “Alex” Jaimes from Park City who played the 2018 PDL (Now USL League Two) season with Ogden City. In Ogden’s inaugural season in 2018, the Utah based side games Jaimes a chance to showcase his skills in the league. He played college soccer with Salt Lake Community College and helped lead his team to an undefeated season in 2016 while winning First-Team All-Region honor.

“Adding Alexi’s pace and athleticism to the first team is something we’ve been looking for,” said McDaniel. “He’s a great asset and we’re glad to call him up from our Park City squad as we strengthen our roster.”

“I am extremely grateful for this opportunity that I have been given,” said Jaimes. “I want to thank everyone who has helped me through my journey so far. Coach Hankinson has put together an incredible squad and I’m super excited for this season!”

These moves show a commitment to the “Path2Pro” system from Chattanooga and to reward young and talented players with a chance to play at a professional level. Both players are the first to sign from their respective affiliates for the professional side in Chattanooga.

“This is a significant step for our club and perfectly represents the value of a clear path to professional play. This has been our goal all along, and it’s only the beginning,” said McDaniel.

Both Jaimes and Cisse will be available this weekend as the Red Wolves travel to Arizona this Saturday to take on FC Tuscon.

Both League Two affiliates, Dalton and Park City, kick off over the next week as Dalton hosts Peachtree City MOBA on Saturday and Park City travels to Ogden City.
