U.K.-based football business school becomes Official Education Partner of the league

TAMPA, Fla. – USL League Two announced today a multi-year partnership with the University Campus of Football Business (UCFB) to become the Official Education Partner of the league. UCFB houses campuses in the United Kingdom, with London and Manchester featuring sites that have Wembley Stadium and the Etihad Stadium at their heart, respectively.

UCFB’s partnership with USL League Two is another milestone for its best-in-class student experience. It builds on existing partnerships with globally recognized institutions including The Football Association, League Managers Association, The National League and the Real Madrid Graduate School – Universidad Europea, each of which provides its own unique opportunities to UCFB students.

In 2019, UCFB will send 16 of its students to the United States to assist League Two clubs, and the league fully anticipates the number of student aides to grow on a yearly basis as the partnership continues to develop further.

“To be able to partner with UCFB means we have a best-in-class resource in the education of future leaders within the sport,” USL League Two Vice President Joel Nash said. “While this partnership will continue to grow, this launch is exciting as our member clubs will receive qualified and aspiring young executives to enhance many levels of their club operations in fundamental areas.”

UCFB Head of Employability & Enrichment Neil Silver added the following: “Everyone at UCFB is delighted to have formed such an important partnership with the USL. There can be no better opportunity for a student who has aspirations to work in the world of sport, and particularly soccer, than to carry out a three-month work placement with a USL League Two club, bringing the skills they have learned on their degree program and contributing to the everyday running of the club.

“Not only will this bring huge added benefits to a student’s CV, but we are confident that UCFB’s talented students can make a highly valuable contribution to the club they are working with. We are very excited to be working with the USL and we look forward to this partnership blossoming.”
