Summary

With only four teams in the Mountain Divison, the experience of the Colorado Pride Switchbacks U23 should mean the side has a solid shot to make the playoffs for the first time after failing to do so in its inaugural season. The overall shakeup in the league that included FC Tucson moving up to League One could offer openings for others, with Ogden City looking to tighten up defensively and push into contention. The Park City Red Wolves, meanwhile, arrive for their inaugural season looking to make their mark in double-quick time.

Summary

The defending League Two champion Calgary Foothills FC may have a different look to last year with a number of key figures moving up to the Canadian Premier League’s Cavalry FC, but there should still be plenty in the tank as they take on another tough division lineup. Among the challengers will likely be Sounders FC U23, which again calls upon some solid graduates from the Sounders Academy, and while Victoria Highlanders FC hasn’t made the playoffs since 2014 there are signs this is going to be a stronger team in the upcoming campaign.

Summary

In what could be the strongest division in League Two, FC Golden State Force will look to continue its regular-season dominance from a season ago with hopes for a longer playoff run. Sitting just outside the playoff bubble last year, the Ventura County Fusion should have more firepower behind the University of Milwaukee forward Evan Conway to keep them in the playoff discussion, but the most interesting storyline in the division may be the inter-city battles between San Francisco City FC and San Francisco Glens FC that begin this Sunday at Kezar Stadium.
