Summary

After its parent club moved up to USL League One last year, South Georgia Tormenta 2 still looks as strong as the first team did last season, but they will get a serious challenge from division newcomer the Charlotte Eagles, who have been a perennial force since moving to League Two in 2015. In their second full season under former international defender Omar Jarun, Peachtree City could be another strong Deep South team and have hopes to even up the series on the Georgia Clasico against Tormenta 2.

Summary

Returning to the Mid South Division after a season away, Mississippi Brilla will look to regain the playoff spot they claimed two seasons ago. But Brazos Valley Cavalry FC will bring a strong challenge to Brilla after scoring the second-most goals last season in League Two. With the division undergoing some serious reconfiguration, you shouldn’t be surprised if a team like Houston FC that struggled a season ago became a wild card contender in 2019.

Summary

The spotlight will fall on Villages SC and the Lakeland Tropics when they square off in the Lamar Hunt U.S. Open Cup First Round. With both having been strong sides in recent history the battle for top spot doesn’t figure to see too much change, but if there is a side out there that could break through it may be the Treasure Coast Tritons, who could put a solid bid together to be the next big thing in this Southeast Division.
